Michael L. Wood is an Associate Attorney with the Gartner Law Firm focusing on general civil litigation and criminal law. Born and raised in northeast Georgia, he attended North Georgia College and State University where he graduated with honors in Political Science. At NGCSU he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity as well as the Pi Gamma Mu and Pi Sigma Alpha honor societies. He was also selected by the faculty to represent the University at the United States Military Academy, West Point for the Student Conference on United States Affairs.

Michael attended the University of Tulsa, School of Law and graduated in 2008. There, he served as a Senator for the Student Association, President of Delta Theta Phi, and President of the Student Bar Association. He also served as a board member for the Tulsa Law Alumni Association and was also a member of the Board of Advocates where he performed in the criminal trial advocacy competition and the ABA negotiation competition. Michael was also a member of the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers Association and Tulsa Lawyers for Children.

During law school, Michael clerked at several civil litigation firms in Tulsa and also interned for District Judge Linda Morrissey in the Tulsa County Probate and Family Law Court. Michael enjoys spending time with his wife Kristen and his dog Coconut. He enjoys playing and watching sports, especially baseball. He and his wife have traveled to many cities across North American and Europe and look forward to traveling to many more places in the future.
